The shovel is back in hand. Graveyard Keeper 2 launched on September 22, 2026, bringing the most inaccurate medieval cemetery sim's brand of grave management, grotesque characters and twisted humor back to PC and consoles.

What's new in the sequel
Graveyard Keeper 2 expands the loop in every direction. The Town is a new sprawling hub occupied by the undead: you help its residents rebuild their neighborhood, earn money doing it, and fast-travel between its many distinct districts through a convenient city map. Back at the graveyard, the management sim runs deeper — collect plants and human remains, build unusual machines to automate production, and grow the operation for profit.
The headline system is your own undead workforce and army: gather hearts, bones, brains and skin to build the ideal zombie servants, automate all the dirty work, and lead the horde into battle — because the zombie apocalypse everyone keeps mentioning is, eventually, coming. Farming, animal care, fishing, trading, crafting, character customization and a full quest line round out the package.
Wishlist milestone and the original's discount
Pre-launch, Graveyard Keeper 2 passed 1 million Steam wishlists, while the original Graveyard Keeper has attracted more than 10 million players since 2018. Alongside the sequel's release, the first game is heavily discounted on Steam — currently 80% off at $3.99 — and a Graveyard Keeper 1 + 2 bundle is available at a 20% discount for anyone who wants the complete story so far.
